Philip Manshaus is a Norwegian terrorist who carried out an attack on August 10, 2019, in the Oslo suburb of Bærum. He entered the Al-Noor Islamic Center mosque armed with multiple weapons, including shotguns and a pistol, and opened fire. Fortunately, no one was killed in the attack as he was overpowered by members of the mosque before he could harm anyone.
Manshaus was known to have extreme right-wing and anti-immigrant views, and he had posted his intentions on the internet before the attack. He also expressed admiration for other far-right terrorists, including the Christchurch mosque shooter.
During his trial, Manshaus admitted to the attack and stated that he wanted to inspire fear among Muslims and start a race war in Norway. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison for murder and terrorism-related charges.
